Stepping out of the Storm

So it’s been a crazy week in our house.
Like a hybrid episode of ER, Golden Girls, Law & Order, and throw in a iPhone commercial for the road. The one where the older gentleman is sitting alone in his room talking to Siri.
I’ll let you use your imagination. All I know is, in the midst of the madness, hubby and I are exhausted. Love how God has blessed us with friends who have been there for us all week. On the phone. Over emails. Over lunch. Praying for us and just listening to us vent about the crumbling sidewalk behind us. The past catches up to you when you least expect it.
A couple of these awesome friends offered to come by and watch our girls tonight [Shout out to the Dhanpats!!♡♡] so we could have a date night and get away from it all. Even for just a few hours. Love friends who see a need and love us before we ask.
And the timing works out since Hubby’s birthday is a few days away and I want to do something special for him. So I’ve been scheming all morning on a last second date night in the city. Love that New York has so much to offer, even for fly by the seat of your pants moments like these. The sun is shining, I got money in my hands that I’d really like to blow [not as much as JB, but anyshway…], and I got my boyfriend by my side. Swag. Swag. Swag to the city!

New York City: We’re coming Back! Tonight!

Stop by tomorrow to read all about it!! 🙂
